Lanciano represents a rare opportunity to obtain Thoroughbred bloodlines successfully used in European Warmblood breeding for decades. His ancestors can be found in the pedigrees of Olympic competitors and medal winners in all three FEI disciplines from 1956 to 2004. These are bloodlines that have stood the test of time. Lanciano was bred in Germany, where the criteria for Thoroughbreds at stud are extremely strict, and he was a Grade 11 stakes-winner there before being imported to North America. His sire, Surumu xx, has several sons and grandsons approved for sport breeding in Germany. For example: Surumu xx has the sons Acatenango xx, Bandoliero xx, Lokator xx (Bayern and Hannover regions), Occamonte xx (Landgestut Zweibrucken), Rivero xx, and Tempeltanz xx to his credit and appears as the grandsire of stallions such as Concinales xx, Kanudos xx and the Westfalen stallion Banjo (Landgestut Warendorf). His dam carries a full sister to Surumu’s sire as well as such famous sport influences as Persian Gulf xx and Neckar xx. The line breeding to the full siblings makes him an ideal candidate for outcrossing to warmblood mares. Lanciano was inspected and is licensed with the CWHBA. He scored 7s and 8s, including an 8 for jumping. Head inspector Fritz Von Blotnitz said, “Overall Thoroughbred stallion who could improve warmblood breeding. For a Thoroughbred horse he has enough elasticity”. Offspring from Thoroughbred, warmblood and Arab mares are available. Lanciano’s semen is excellent quality.

SILBERPFEIL was an imported stallion with quality gaits and great disposition.  He is registered with the Holstein Verband in Germany and with the Swiss Verband. He carries some of the best bloodlines of Holstein breeding.

His impressive pedigree, combines the famous jumping bloodlines of Silbersee and the bloodlines of the Cor de la Bryere, who has produced top performance horses in all three disciplines: dressage, eventing, and showjumping. His sire Silvester, has already entered the list of Holstein sires whose progeny are competition winners of some note.

SILBERPFEIL's dam Nancy, goes back to the great Cor de la Bryere, a  producer of award-winning stallions and mares. The Cor de la Bryere can give more knee action than most but as this is combined with good shoulder movement, his progeny can 'snap up' their forelegs for jumping and extend them for dressage.

SILBERPFEIL's offspring show excellent movement, superb disposition, correct confirmation, and exceptional jumping ability. Most of the foals possess his size, his presence and well as his intelligent and kind nature.  In Canada and the USA they are already proving themselves up to the open levels of show jumping.  SILBERPFEIL has sired one licensed son, Silver Star.  He is also the sire of Sierra Springs who took 1st place at the 2007 foal futurity & Grand Champion Young Horse at the CWHBA Southern Alberta Show.
